Synopsis

Àvol vindicates the figure of the artist through four characters who find themselves needing to reinvent themselves. The situation transports them to a scenic universe created from bamboo sticks and ropes. Overcoming new challenges leads them to develop hitherto hidden skills. Together they explore artistic creation and establish a dialogue with the audience about identity and a sense of belonging, in a comic and reflective manifestation of the current role of culture through contemporary circus. The Circ Bover thus closes a five-year cycle of research and creation with bamboo and its possibilities applied to the circus, recognised with five international awards.
