Programme 2016
Cie. ArtonikThe Colour of Time
Synopsis
The Colour of Time is an explosion of colour, happiness and good wishes in a choreographed parade. An ephemeral ritual that originates with the aim of blurring the hierarchies and differences between people and celebrating friendship collectively. The show is inspired in the Holi Festival held in India at the start of spring. The proposal combines movement, actor-dancers and live musicians and invites the audience to participate in a very special walk to share a bath of Gulal powders and a lot of hugs and to change the colour of the firmament all together. This performance uses organic pigments that are harmless and easy to clean. Not recommended for those with respiratory disorders.
Cie. Artonik, a French company that came into being in 1992, with a long international career. From its beginnings, it has been inspired in proximity, journeys and public spaces, a sensitivity that was already there in their earliest shows and that has been complemented by a great curiosity for human behaviour in common spaces. Always attentive to the joys and dramas of everyday life, Artonik uses dance, theatre, visual arts and musical ambiences to develop their distinctive scenic style.
