Synopsis

What happens when dance and circus collide? They converge, come into contact and blend into one another. These two acclaimed British companies have pooled their vibrant styles into a powerful fusion of dance and circus that pushes the limits of both art forms. Twenty large blocks are raised, deconstructed and reformed into an infinite variety of shapes, on which the performers interact, move and play. This dynamic and exciting show is about life in the city, its contradictions and challenges – an amazing story that captures the intensity of everyday life.

BLOCK is an exciting collaboration between NoFit State Circus and Motionhouse. Created and directed by Artistic Director of Motionhouse, Kevin Finnan MBE, original concept, design and production Ali Williams, circus direction by Paul Evans (NoFit State Circus). Performers: Andrew Davies, Lee Tinnion, Joel Pradas Reguill, Onyemachi Ejimofor, Rosie Macari, Giorgia Setaro, Laksmi Arco Valnei.
