Synopsis

Based on Nijinski’s ‘Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun’, the piece is a trip through the interspecies, built from Spanish dance but questioning classical forms, giving way to a hybrid language and traversed transversally by the body. Beyond the mythological character, who fantasises with the nymphs during a siesta, the faun is represented as a biological condition related to hybridisation, building an identity between that which is human and that which is animal, between the real and the imaginary. The piece is divided into 4 parts - folk, bolero, stylised dance and flamenco – and, led by the performer, the audience travels around different stages.
