Synopsis

A piece that deals with the concept of domestication as an act of rebellion that allows for a pulse between the cultural rites of tradition and forms of choreographic hybridisation. Straddling flamenco, Spanish and contemporary dance, it explores the concepts of cruelty, abuse of power and violence in the name of honour, customs or beliefs. An act of rebellion through dance, which is inspired by practices of resistance and pacts, with the awareness that subverting the norm is the only path to salvation.
